The new Oxfordshire Travel Choices Journey Planner will help you find the best way to get around the County. Tell it where you want to travel from and to and it will tell you which way to go, which bus or train to catch and what time to set off. If you don’t know where you are, don’t worry. The app can use geolocation to locate you and then direct you to your destination. Whether it’s a one-off journey or a trip you do nearly every day, it’s always a good idea to plan ahead or compare your options – and who knows, you might be able to leave to car at home!

How does it work?
We use a number of different service providers and collate the information in one place so you don’t have to.

- Cycle – Cycle Streets
- Live rail departures – National Rail Enquiries
- Live road traffic information: Oxfordshire County Council Urban Traffic Management Control System
A lot of the data comes from OpenStreetMap (OSM) – the Wikpedia of mapping. Spot a problem with your walk, drive or cycle route. You can fix it. Register for an account on the OSM website and edit the data yourself. Don’t panic. It’s a really friendly community and there is lots of helpful information on their Wiki pages.
